Yielding to the benevolent purposes of God prepares us for the yoke of kind, gentle, patient service to others.

For not only do people need food, but they need also the touch of a hand, the sound of a voice. For food lasts but a day, but love is for always.

- Mother Teresa

GraceWorks Community is a collaborative effort, relying on the contributions of placement agencies, local churches, community groups and individuals to supplement foundation grants and regional church sponsorship.  We work hard to be good stewards of the resources entrusted to us, and we appreciate support in many different forms.  Above all, we ask for your prayers and spiritual support as we seek to achieve our mission of forming communities of servant leaders committed to seeing and serving Christ in the poor and marginalized and in each other.

Challenge Gifts Double Your Impact!

Fundraising efforts over the past year have brought in approximately $60,000 to support GraceWorks Community - no small accomplishment in our first year!  We are deeply grateful to all who have helped us get this far.  However, we still need an additional $30,000 to finish this program year (through August 10, 2007), above and beyond pledges received through February 1.

Learning of our situation, two donors have come forward to offer a challenge : all gifts that come in between February 16 and May 1, 2007, up to $7,500, will be matched to raise a total of $15,000.  That means that thanks to these generous donors, your gift counts for twice as much, and will get us halfway to our goal.   Learn how to send in your tax-deductible donation, or contact Kerry Greenhill at 800-536-3736 x153, or by email.

Needs and Dreams

GraceWorks Community costs just over $250/day, or about $91,000 per year to sustain our work of community service and leadership development with young adults.  We are dreaming big, and would like to open 3 new volunteer houses in Colorado, Montana, and Utah between 2008 and 2012.  Each additional house adds approximately $50,000 to our annual budget.  Our dream is that one or more of these houses will be donated - either as a gift of the real estate or as an in-kind donation of rent for a given number of years - so that we can more effectively bring the gifts of young adult servant leadership to communities throughout the Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone regions.

If you are a provider of printing, web design, marketing, or related professional services, and would be interested in working with us pro bono or at a reduced rate, please contact us, or request more information.

We also accept donations of furniture for our volunteer house.  Please consider GraceWorks Community as an alternative to the thrift store for those well-loved (but still functional!) furnishings, linens, kitchenware, and (small) appliances.  For up-to-date information on items needed and how to donate, please call 800-536-3736 x153 or contact us by another means.
