GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO. — The Board of Directors of GraceWorks Community met Tuesday to celebrate the successful completion of the first program year for this Bishop’s Young Adult Initiative, and to decide on the future of the program. The four young women who have served as full-time volunteers with this initiative complete their term of service this week. [Read full text] Annual Conference OfferingsThe offering received for GraceWorks at the 2007 Yellowstone Annual Conference brought in $1100, while the offering at Rocky Mountain Conference totaled just over $2700 (that's about a 70% increase over last year!). As the volunteers make their transition from this year of service to a lifetime of servant leadership, we will celebrate their work during worship and offer a casual reception afterwards (reception location TBA). Presentation during the Thursday, June 14 plenary session (7:00 p.m.) at the Marriott Denver Tech Center. GraceWorks will receive the offering collected at the Wednesday evening (June 13) opening worship service, 7:30 p.m. June 8: Yellowstone Annual Conference. Presentation during the Friday 9:00 a.m. plenary session at the Holiday Inn in Billings, MT. GraceWorks will receive the offering collected at the Friday evening worship service. April 24, May 17: Discovering GraceWorks. April 20-22: Rocky Mountain Conference Young Adult Retreat, Grand Junction, Colorado. "Reconnecting to the Living Vine." Brian Riecke present to speak about GraceWorks in conjunction with other mission opportunities for young adults. March 22-28: Kerry visits United Methodist campus ministries in Missoula (3/22), Bozeman (3/25), and Billings (3/27), Montana, plus churches in Bozeman and Billings. March 11-12: Kerry visits United Methodist Churches in Kemmerer, Green River, and Rock Springs, Wyoming. February 25: Volunteers visit First UMC Laramie (WY) to present during three services and two luncheons. Kerry Greenhill and Brian Riecke visit the Wesley Foundation in Boulder, Colorado that evening. February 24: Metro District Annual Celebration, Lakewood UMC. Kerry Greenhill will report on the offering received from Metro District last year, and offer a workshop called "Seeing Our Lives Whole: Weaving Faith Practices and Spiritual Formation with Young Adults." Commissioning Service: Sunday, September 17, 9:45 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Cheyenne (108 E 18th St.).
