Yielding to the benevolent purposes of God prepares us for
the yoke of kind, gentle, patient service to others. - John S. Mogabgab, Alive Now
For not only do people need food, but they need also the touch of a hand, the sound of a voice. For food lasts but a day, but love is for always. - Mother Teresa |
GraceWorks Community provides health insurance for all volunteers. Participants in the AmeriCorps Education Award Program are eligible to take part in the health insurance plan sponsored by the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps (NASCC). Summit America handles daily administration of the plan, including claims processing, customer service, billing and eligibility. For customer service regarding claims, call 800-301-9128. In most cases, the GraceWorks office will handle all billing and claims issues for volunteers. MultiPlan PPO is a network of preferred hospitals and physicians utilized by the NASCC plan. When a member receives services from a network provider, the fees are discounted and the bill is submitted on behalf of the patient. However, there is no reduction of benefit percentage when a non-Multi-Plan provider is used. To find a preferred provider, call 800-672-2140 or visit www.multiplan.com. Forms that you may need (all were included in the orientation packet, and all but the Prescription Drug claim are posted here as Word docs):
