Yielding to the benevolent purposes of God prepares us for
the yoke of kind, gentle, patient service to others. - John S. Mogabgab, Alive Now
For not only do people need food, but they need also the touch of a hand, the sound of a voice. For food lasts but a day, but love is for always. - Mother Teresa | Thank you for your interest in GraceWorks Community: The Bishop's Young Adult Initiative! There are many ways to get involved in this exciting new project. Above all, we ask for your prayers and spiritual support as we seek to achieve our mission of forming communities of servant leaders committed to seeing and serving Christ in the poor and marginalized and in each other. If you are a young adult (18-30), consider applying to serve as a volunteer - it's a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow personally, spiritually, socially, and professionally through the experience of service and intentional community living! Or if you know someone who would be interested in GraceWorks, you can request information or materials to send to them. GraceWorks Community receives most of its financial support through voluntary donations from individuals and churches. We are now also accepting contributions of goods to furnish our volunteer house. Learn more about how you can donate toward our current and future needs. We will continue placing volunteers in Cheyenne, Wyoming for the 2007-08 program year. If you are affiliated with a non-profit agency in our placement community, visit our Agencies page to learn more about the possibility of having a volunteer placed to serve in your organization. We are exploring possibilities for future houses in Billings, Montana and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Finally, if you are not finding the information you need, check our Materials page (includes presentations given at Rocky Mountain Annual Conference) or fill out a form to "Learn More."
