For not only do people need food, but they need also the touch of a hand, the sound of a voice. For food lasts but a day, but love is for always.

Program Overview:
GraceWorks Community: The Bishop's Young Adult Initiative, sponsored by the Denver
Area Episcopal Office of The United Methodist Church, is an opportunity for
young adults (18-30) to commit one year to service in community: serving
full-time in community-based agencies meeting human and social needs, while living
in intentional community with other volunteers. Participants receive room and board, health insurance, transportation assistance,
and a monthly living stipend, and are eligible for an AmeriCorps education award at the end of the
year. Learn more about us.
Cheyenne, Wyoming is our first site, where we have placed volunteers
with four agencies for the 2006-07 year.
We are exploring plans to open a second house of volunteers in Montana
or southern Colorado in 2008.
Please call 800-536-3736 x153 or email
us to learn more.
